- Graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Texas at Dallas with a B.A. in Government and Politics.
- Attended the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law as a Hatton W. Sumner’s Scholar and Dean’s Scholar before graduating and receiving a Juris Doctorate degree in 2003.
Career
- Worked for several years in the restaurant industry while attending college, culminating in a nine-year tenure running Nate’s Seafood and Steakhouse in Addison, Texas.
- During and immediately after law school, worked in the litigation section of the law firm of Godwin Gruber, L.L.P. in Dallas, Texas.
- Left Godwin Gruber to get trial experience defending multi-million dollar medical malpractice lawsuits at the law firm of Owen & Fazio, P.C. in Dallas, Texas.
- Founded the law firm of Graves & Hawkins, L.L.P. in 2006, a general civil practice with a focus on representing small-to-medium sized businesses and their owners in a variety of fields.
