Fred Maldonado

Fred Maldonado serves as AT&T’s Regional Director of External Affairs for Dallas, where he is responsible for representing AT&T in all city, county, and state governmental affairs. He was appointed to the Dallas office in June 2008.
Previously, Fred was the Regional Director for External Affairs in Lubbock, Texas. Before that, he served as Senior Operations Manager for West Texas where he was responsible for marketing consumer wireline and wireless products.
Fred began his career with Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1993 in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. He has previously held several positions in call center operations, sales, network installation & repair, and marketing.
Fred has stayed involved in the Lubbock community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Lubbock United Way, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Lubbock Area Foundation, Science Spectrum Museum, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, KTXT-TV Channel 5 (PBS), Lubbock 911 District and Lubbock Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Fred is a graduate of Leadership Lubbock and serves on the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee and volunteers for two Neighborhood Community Centers.
Fred has attended University of Texas – Arlington and LeTourneau University. He also holds marketing certifications from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business.
Fred and his wife, Mari, have three children ages 10, 4, and 1. Fred enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing hobbies such as hunting, golf, and skiing.
