Jeanne Hooker

Jeanne Hooker serves as Manager, Public Affairs, Mid-Tex Division for Atmos Energy Corporation. Atmos Energy is the country’s largest natural-gas-only distributor. Its utility operations serves 3.1 million gas customers in 12 states and its nonutility operations serve industrial customers and municipalities in 18 states.
Before joining Atmos Energy, Hooker was Manager of Community Relations for TXU Electric and Gas. She has served in many other aspects of the energy business as Manager of operations, Residential and Commercial Marketing and Manager of Consumer Services.
During her thirty-five years in the gas business, Hooker has been active in many community associations. She has held leadership positions with many chambers, civic organizations and non-profit organizations. She was one of the first females inducted into the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Rotary Club of which she became the President and has received the Paul Harris Award. She is a graduate of Leadership Richardson, Class XXIII. She currently serves on the boards of the Richardson Symphony, Neighborhood Youth and Family Services in Richardson, MetroCrest Medical Foundation, Garland Chamber and the Addison Business Association. She is also actively involved with her church, Canyon Creek Presbyterian, where she has served as an elder.
Born in England and with dual citizenship, Hooker earned her B.S. degree in education from TexasA&MUniversity, Commerce. Hooker and her husband have two children Chad and Jill and reside in Richardson, Texas. She enjoys traveling, shopping and plans to retire in Estes Park, Colorado where they have property.
