Shop Smart with Richardson Chamber

Boasting a membership of more than 1,200, the Richardson Chamber of Commerce was first organized in 1946 to promote business and meet the economic needs of a fast growing suburb of Dallas.

The Chamber has been recognized nationally and regionally for its achievements in economic development and support of small business and retains the goals of its founding fathers.

The Richardson Chamber of Commerce formed an Economic Development Partnership with the City of Richardson, which in part, has resulted in Richardson being recognized as a "boom town" of the 1990’s by The Wall Street Journal.

The Chamber, the City, the school district, higher education and other major community groups have come together and developed mutual objectives and as we move forward through the 21st century.

Perhaps the greatest accomplishment of the Chamber in recent years has been the efforts to make state Highway 190 a reality and the designation of a large area in the industrial portion of the city as the Telecom Corridor®. In October 1992, the Telecom Corridor® area was featured on the cover of Business Week as one of the nation’s "hot spots" for growth.

The Chamber is proud of the community it serves and is dedicated to orderly growth and development.
