The Richardson Chamber of Commerce celebrates every new member with a Red Ribbon Cutting ceremony.
Representing the Chamber at ribbon cuttings are its Ambassadors . The Chamber provides a Welcome banner, red ribbon and gold scissors. The Chamber will also take pictures of the ribbon cutting. Ribbon cutting photos appear in the Chamber's Action newsletter whicc is e-mailed to 5,000 contacts every month.
Ribbon cuttings are an excellent marketing opportunity. Here are a few tips on making one a success:
- Invite friends, family, business associates, vendors and even prospective clients. Really get the word out!
- Serve refreshments or light hors d'oeuvres especially for ceremonies scheduled around the end of the day.
- Give away door prizes or gift certificates and let the Chamber know in advance so that it can be publicized.
