 This annual event, presented by the Education Committee, honors new teachers entering the Richardson Independent School District (RISD). Since 1958, our area businesses, organizations and individuals have expressed their strong interest in maintaining quality education for the students, faculty and staff of RISD by supporting the annual New Teachers Luncheon.
The 50th annual New Teachers Luncheon was Thursday, August 14 at the Renaissance Hotel in Richardson. The event was a huge success as almost 400 new teachers and 300 RISD, community and business leaders turned out in support.
We owe a special debt of gratitude to all of our sponsors listed on the right. We would also like to give special thanks to our contributors, volunteers and the Education Committee without whom this event could not have been possible. Thank you all!
