Congratulations to Sandra Ward, the Chamber’s February Ambassador of the Month. Sandra and her husband Ron are the owners of R&S Enterprises/AMSOIL, an authorized AMSOIL Dealer since 1979. They provide synthetic lubricant products with a proven track record for being economical, efficient and environmentally friendly.
R&S Enterprises/AMSOIL joined the Chamber in 2009, and Sandra got her feet wet immediately as a Chamber volunteer. At the Chamber’s Annual Banquet last year, she was named the 2009 Rookie of the Year.
“We feel that if you are going to join an organization, you need to give it your whole support as you are able. The more you are involved, the better benefit to your business,” she said. “Being a member of the Chamber is not just a commitment. It is a way of life, as we all do business with each other. And with the social aspect, we have a lot of fun as well.”
Sandra is currently a tri-chair of the EarlyNet program, the Chamber’s early morning networking/referral group. Last year, EarlyNet generated more than 1,000 business leads.
At her job, Sandra is the technical side of the business. She does the bookkeeping and manages the company’s website. She said being an ambassador is her way of giving back to the community.
Ambassador Club members are liaisons who serve as the face of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. Ambassadors represent, promote and encourage participation in the Richardson Chamber, while maintaining contact with new and current members. They also serve as greeters at various chamber networking functions. Ambassadors are volunteers who provide a valuable service to the Chamber. By maintaining a strong connection with members, the ambassadors develop business relationships and maintain networks that strengthen the organization. The Ambassadors of the Month are selected according to their level of involvement, including volunteer activities and the number of events they attend monthly.
