Texas Instruments' Richardson Plant ramping up ahead of schedule
Texas Instruments CEO Rich Templeton says TI's 1.08-million-square-foot Richardson manufacturing plant is ramping up ahead of schedule and performing better than expected.
Genpact strengthening U.S. capabilities and domain expertise with new delivery center in Dallas metro area
Genpact Limited (NYSE: G), a global leader in business process and technology management recently announced that it has opened a new services delivery center in Richardson, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. From this new center, Genpact will be providing high-value services including technology services, business analytics, and mortgage underwriting for a growing number of U.S.-based clients, thereby establishing a new Genpact hub for these capabilities.
Texas Capital Bank expanding
Texas Capital Bank is expanding its presence in Richardson. The company has added a full floor, or 26,500 square feet, to its lease in Lakeside Tower, giving it a total of five floors.
MetroPCS rises as quarterly profit beats estimates
Richardson-based MetroPCS Communications Inc. rose the most in more than three years after reporting fourth-quarter profit. Net income jumped more than sixfold to $91 million, or 25 cents a share, from $14 million, or 4 cents, a year earlier.
Richardson McDonald’s unveils nutrition kiosk
The McDonald’s on Centennial Blvd. in Richardson has added an interactive nutrition kiosk- the first of its kind in North Texas. Customers can use a touch-screen to look up calories, carbohydrates and sodium, as well as prices.
Richardson companies honored as healthy employers
Four Richardson companies have been recognized as some of the healthiest employers in the country by the national Healthiest Employers program. They are: Hill & Wilkinson, United Healthcare, Blue Cross & Blue Shield and Methodist Health Systems.
Curves food drive to benefit Richardson Network of Community Ministries
Curves International kicked off its 2012 Curves Food Drive on March 1 with a challenge to all Curves clubs to meet or exceed last year's donations. Each club, including Curves of Richardson- East, is asking its members to donate bags of non-perishable food or cash throughout the month of March to support their local community food bank. In addition, Curves of Richardson East will waive the membership fee for new members who bring in a bag of non-perishable food or donate $30 to their local food bank from March 12 – 25. Curves of Richardson- East is at 1144 Plano Road, Ste. 141.
Plant sale to benefit NETWORK Dental Clinic
The Richardson Network of Community Ministries and Loveable Smiles have teamed up again this year for a flower and bedding plant sale to benefit Network. The sale is on now with final orders due April 6.
Choose from a variety of flowers including zinnias, periwinkles, potato vine, and many others in flats of 18 four-inch pots. The benefit sale is hosted at Loveable Smiles, 1410 N. Plano Rd.
