What is Discover Richardson?
Richardson continues to grow at an exponential rate thanks to an influx of new businesses and restaurants. As such, the Chamber has developed Discover Richardson, a program aimed at connecting Richardson’s communities to the quality products, services, and restaurants available from Chamber businesses, at the same time educating about news and events going on in the city.
Discover Richardson is the best way to discover local and neighborhood offerings. Not only will you have a great time at these businesses, but will also be helping the City’s economy. Studies show that when shopping at small businesses, 48 percent of your dollars stay local, compared to 14 percent at chain stores.
Discover Richardson is a website featuring a compilation of news from various local sources (city, school, universities, and Community Impact).
A calendar of events include these groups, businesses and non-profits.
All businesses can have a page/profile on the site including a logo, location/directions/map, phone number and website link. Businesses that have at least a Marketplace membership will also receive: contact form, hours of operation, business description, news posts, deals/coupons (B2B/B2C), upcoming events, photos, videos, social media buttons, Facebook page feed, Instagram
feed, Yelp reviews, ratings, restaurant/bar menu, OpenTable reservations, categories, primary category and keywords. All of this can be managed via the member dashboard.
In order to maintain traffic to the site, the chamber sends out a Friday email featuring at least two ads from the rotation. The current email list contains 2000 subscribers with a 45% open rate.

How does it work?
If you are a Chamber member, you are eligible to run an ad in the weekly Friday email. Your email will be part of a rotation of other Chamber businesses who have signed up for the program.
How big can my ad be?
If you are designing your own ad, we are somewhat flexible with sizing, but we do recommend all ads aim for 3 inches tall by 4 inches wide (300x400 pixels).
What if I don’t have a graphic designer?
That’s alright. We’ll help you design a simple ad. Just upload your logo and up to 30 words to go on the ad. Our graphic designer/scheduler is Suellen Price at email@example.com
